Hey all,
Last year a bunch of us met for a happy hour at the Flying Saucer in Raleigh. Mondays are pint night with all pints going for $2.75. I'm looking at Dec.1st as a tentative date. This will be the Monday after Thanksgiving or the Monday after that. If anybody wants to know whether we have a good time or not, just check out the picture on DaveO's signature line. That was taken at last years gathering and he has become our unofficial poster boy. If anyone is interested just post up.

Cheers !
ps. Here is the website for the Flying Saucer

http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/raleigh

Due to popular opinion it will be on Mon. Dec. 1st

As long as they have Dogfish Brewing's 90 Minute IPA I'll be a happy camper...you can't find a better brew than that. Unless you run across Rogue's Imperial IPA, but it might be just a little too much for some folks

Dave
dogfish rocks! up there with skullsplitter for me.

Im dry hopping an english IPA now..cant wait to keg it..

What time is everyone planning on arriving? I don't like to drink alone but I also don't want to miss the fun.

drink alone? you can always invite you pals Bud Weiser, Sam Adams, Jim Beam and Johnny Walker until the other arrive (I think of the song by George Thorogood)... just don't whip out the power tools in a bar... they frown on that.

Hmm that is a good question. I don't think that we have set a time, yet. How does 6:30 sound for everybody? That should give folks time to get off from work, but hopefully get us there early enough to beat the crowds.
I'm planning on JimmyC picking me up, so I will be at his mercy. I think that 6:30 is the time we did it last time, and it worked well.

Bump for tonight's gathering at the Flying Saucer in Raleigh.

I am looking forward to it. Still waiting to hear from Jimmy. The mouse may have taken all of his beer money!

Great Josh, see if you can get and hold a big table for us all. There should be a good crowd. And save me some beer

Hold on, I coming! (apologies to Sam and Dave)

You can't image how hard it is to book a last minute flight from Durham to downtown Raleigh

Re: Future Flying Saucer outing ? *updated*

Well I don't know if I saved any beer but I had a table to start

It was nice to meet more of you and find out some more about each of you. I can imagine beer time as awesome time but not so much as gettting to know each other time.

Although, it take more for me than most people. I think Travis Porter is a bad influence from within the grasp of the Flying Saucer though... what kind of magic did he pull on me? I want a 12" planer again....
