Re: Eagle's Last Flight

I also have had the pleasure of being one of Eagle's friends. I have known him about as long as anybody here. If there was ever anything he needed from Woodcraft he always called and had me ship it to him, instead of him calling corporate. He did not use credit cards so I would give him the total and the items and check would cross in the mail. I will miss him very much. I am honored to have a simple (to him) cherry and maple blank he made. He gave it to me just because. I have not decided if I will leave it or turn it yet. Thanks Eagle!

Re: Eagle's Last Flight

I am really going to miss him. Once when I was brand new to this group I posted a question on pen turning. Not only did I get an answer, I got a call from him advising me as to how to approach the media. Like all the previous statements, he and his talent will be sorely missed.

Re: Eagle's Last Flight

I might have known Eagle the best of folks here and have just found out about this..... Words can't express the loss.

For anyone who knew Eagle, you expected him to have an opinion and to speak about it. He was a unique man and friend. I can't tell you how many hrs I had spent talking out the feasibility of his "crazy" ideas. We did shows together, traded wood, ideas, and just talked a lot. He truely amazed me both as a craftsman and as a person. I did know his real name, but he will always be Eagle to me. He will be sorely missed.

Cathy reminded me of a picture I had buried on my website. This was the most classic Eagle moment.
