Maple - 4/4 or 5/4 in 5 foot lengths, 4"+ in width - 4/4 - $2.00 BF, 5/4 $2.50 BF. 1000 BF
Basswood and Poplar, 5 foot lengths, 4/4 - $1.50 BF. 500 BF each

Re: Charlotte Shop Crawl NEWS!

Is the Sapele the "ribbon" look (not sure how that is cut, but I guess quartersawn?)

Don't know much about Sapele, but look that look when it's labeled as "Ribbon Sapele"

Re: Charlotte Shop Crawl NEWS!

The Sapele has two looks. One is the ribbon-like quartersawn type, and the other is flat sawn, curly with many swirly grains and cathedrals. I've had great responses to both.

Re: Charlotte Shop Crawl NEWS!

I've had some family stuff come up.

I'm still OK for hosting (looking forward to everyone stopping by) but will have to skip the "crawling".

No big deal. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Re: Charlotte Shop Crawl NEWS!

Where is the carpool meeting? At the first shop, or somewhere else?

Re: Charlotte Shop Crawl NEWS!

tdhetrick, I do have another spot for you, so I'll save it. My car is an SUV with captains chairs in the second row, so 6 people can sit comfortably.

My shop is the first on my list, so I was planning on just driving everyone around and back to my place at the end.

Re: Charlotte Shop Crawl NEWS!

I have had two people interested in some lumber that I will be bringing along on the crawl. If anyone else is interested in any species, please let me know so I can get things together. Thanks and I look forward to meeting everyone on Saturday!
