You Must Update Your Profile - NOW. WHY, becuase if you don't you will lose your DQ Status and even access to the site.

As I stated on the marquee at the top, I am making some important changes. Not so much as what info is supplied but more, in how it is presented and some new options that are needed to comply with a more general Privacy Statement that will be published shortly.

I am asking that you immediately go into your profile and either fill in the new fields or modify your content to match the new intent. There are also 2 new options, that must set properly to allow us to Send your info to Klingspor for discounts and another that both allows us to make you a Member and to share that info with the state if necessary.

HUH??? The sharing of your info with Klingspor for discount purposes is old hat. We've doing do it with your implicit permission(by you filling out the data) for quite a while. Now, you must fill in the data and set an explict option that allows us to share with Klingspor.

Permission to be a member? You thought your were already a member. Not since we became a non-profit corporation. Right now I am the only member, but we need to increase that number substantially.

The board of directors is working on what makes a member, but at least from legal point of view, we must have your contact info and be able send it to the state if required. My understanding is that the state never requires a list of members unless there is a contested election. But Ican't be sure that is the only reason. anyway, I am trying to get everything in place for a bunch of things. If you don't get your profile info correct, then there is good chance your lose your DQ privilages and especially Klinspor.

I also ask that you supply your contact info, even if you intend to opt out of everything. If I had had all that information, The selling and shipping of calendars, etc would have taken days LESS time than it did.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Would have been nice to have a bit more details of what to change and where to change it up front.

Plus, I am not all that keen on giving out my phone number.

I think my days on this site may be numbered - I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do.

It wouldn't save my changes without a phone number

Plus there was a field that said to enter " yes " but the choices were mail , mail/address etc

Will someone check to see if I did it right ?

IF I understand it correctly, this is what I did.

1. Clicked on the User Settings link above my avatar on the right hand side.
2. On the resulting page, on the left, I clicked on Edit Your Details.
3. I filled in my Name/Nickname field and added my zip code in the top (Registration Required) box.
4. I scrolled down to the bottom third box (Additional Information) and ensured my name, address and phone number information was filled in.
5. I then clicked on the Save Changes button.

Next - I moved to the very top of the page, and found the Settings and Options link on the lefthand side of the page and clicked on the Edit Options line within it. That is where the other fun stuff seems to reside.

1. In the Login and Privacy box at the top, I clicked on the button to opt in for the Corporate Membership option.
2. I then clicked on the button for what I wanted sent to Klingspor. (Same section, just a few lines lower)
3. I checked all of the other settings as I scrolled to the bottom of the screen to ensure I wanted to keep them as they were.
4. When done, I selected the option to Save Changes.

On the last one I believe, I was prompted to answer a very basic question, such as what is the last letter of (some word) in a white box. If you don't do that, it will give you an error message and let you have another shot at it!

If this isn't what I was supposed to do, then heaven help me, I will be joining you!

The tree question stumped me.

Good thing I know the square root of a turned bowl.

Robert you're good to go as far as I can tell. Your phone number directed me to a very nice lady who spoke wonderful things in my ear...that's not your wife is it.
