I've been putting different logo images on the top of the screen for the last few days.

This is not for approval or me suggesting that I favor or dis-favor them. It is my way of showing what may work and what may not work from a size , color and transparancy point of view.

As good as they all look so far.........IMHO some tend to work better than others once you see them at the top of the web site. These are some great looking logo designs folks are coming up with.

Steve,
Haven't been on in a few days to see any of the others but I have to say that I really like the plane design!

So far this one (being the handplane with NCWoodworker to the right) looks the best so far across the top to me.

I agree with Travis, the plane looks best here so far. But how would it work on a shirt or shop apron???? actually, it would probably work well on the apron, but maybe not the shirt. Scale would be too small to my mind...

Perhaps the solution is to have two logos? One for the site and aprons, one for shirts and hats???

The plane w/text exhibits excellent proportions for the "masthead". Overall it's a good choice, but the font could be less industrial. It doesn't reflect the warmth and friendliness of the site, though the colors are "mellow".

I realize you're still in the testing mode, but couldn't resist an opportunity to be an art critic.

it is a little industrial, isn't it? Hadn't given that much thought. How could it be made a little more woodworky??? (making up words here, my only talent relative the logo issue.)
