If you looked at the new floating menu you may have noticed the North Carolina Woodworker Site Policies link and already looked at it.
I urge you to read it carefully, because it will be enforced. There is really nothing new in there. These are essentially the policies that been followed for some time. There have been bits and pieces posted before.
The difference is that for the first time, they have been written in the same document with the rationale behind them and a description of the actions the staff should take.
I do want to make it clear that the content responsibility lies solely with me. These are the rules that I have set, not the staff. So, if you have a problem with them, address them with me, not the staff.
These are in effect formally as of the time of this posting and I am expecting that the staff will be using them to guide their immediately. However, there is one exception. Those existing members who have Avatars, Signatures, Profile Pics, Biographical profile material, and/or Usernames in violation of the policy, will have until Wed. 9/20/06 at 9 AM to correct the violation(s) on their own. At that time, the specified remedies will take place as soon as I have had my first cup of coffee.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Your hard work on making this an informative, entertaining and successful site has been appreciated and acknowledged many times and I want to reiterate those sentiments yet again.
In addition to your amazing efforts to create a wonderful woodworking web site I would like to express my deep admiration and appreciation for your principles of ethics. The rules set forth here are no different than those we could all benefit from in our daily lives. Thanks for reminding me. |
