Steve is once again hard at work, behind the scenes, providing us with some nice software updates to improve the forum. You may have noticed some of the changes already.

Take a look at the post header content - that part of each post that includes the avatar and other information about the person who submitted that post. You will notice new links for "Threads" and "Posts". You can now click on those links to see all the threads that were started by that user, or all the posts they have submitted. In the past you had to open the user's profile to get to that information.

Also, take a look down at the bottom of the threads - right between the bottom of the posts and the "Quick Reply" box, you'll notice a new set of links called "Breadcrumbs". These are the series of links that show where you are in the forum... looks like this:

North Carolina Woodworker > What's Going ON? > Webmaster Announcements

There is already a set of breadcrumbs at the top of each page - now we have one at the bottom, too! This just provides another quick way to get back to where you started. As long as there are no birds.

And... coming soon will be the new and IMPROVED floating menu that Steve is creating. Some may have noticed that the old menu went away for a while today, in the process of some testing... well the old menu is back for now. Although it seems to have changed somehow...

Stay tuned for more updates!!!

Great improvements

Funny, when I look down at my keyboard there are breadcrumbs on it too, got to stop eating at the computer

Like the new menu items , I guess I'll have to fetch my own beers now

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

I like them too... particularly the breadcrumbs... hate having to scroll from one end of the page to the other to get somewhere... or go thru many layers of menus. Maybe I'm just lazy
