Klingspor Extravaganza Woodworking Show

Friday Oct 26 & Saturday Oct 27, 2007

More details at Klingspor's Web Site

Hickory Metro Convention Center
Hickory, NC
(directions here)

Gathering of NC Woodworkers to follow (further details TBA). Be sure to mark your calendars and set aside time for this event! Start making carpool plans now! We had a great time in previous years! (click to see pics from the 2005 and 2006 Extravaganzas!)

We're still finalizing plans, but Klingspor has once again graciously offered plenty of space for our gathering. There will be plenty of room to show off our work and run some demonstrations (woodturning, scrollsawing, or maybe something else... we're open to ideas & suggestions!). And on Saturday we'll have a nice room to gather together for fellowship and some more of that great BARBECUE!

Once again, in an effort to obtain a reasonable estimate of how many will attend this event, please reply in this thread if you plan to attend. If you can, plan to bring a few projects along to show off!

See you there!

Hi,
I am planning on driving up to Hickory Friday morning. I won't be there on Sat but will be nice to see some folks.

I'm looking forward to being there Saturday. I'll try to be there for the full day to help out where possible.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all there!

Sadly, I will not be able to get to this year's gathering -- we are again headed to Apex to take care of our grandson for the weekend as our daughter heads out of town for a 3-day vacation. And to think I missed the great gathering at Mike's retreat last weekend, too! Bummer!

Hmmm...time with your grandson, though...time better spent!!! We'll miss you Rob.

I am excited to be joining in on the fun Saturday! Really looking forward to meeting more members and learning a lot.

Also looks like I'll be driving with my new copilot DaveO. Do you think I'll be able to round up all of his elves and fit them in the car with us?

Mike

If anyone wants to carpool from Concord/Charlotte/Gaston Co. area to Hickory I'm taking my truck on Saturday and you're welcome to join me. I'm planning to leave Concord on Saturday at ~8:30am and return home ~5pm after a stop in Cherryville to pick up some stuff from Scott Hamm.
Let me know.

The wife and I plan on being there on Friday, maybe a little of Saturday. Just how long and when depends on how the rest of the week goes!

Let's make sure we get a chance to meet. Instead of talking WWing, we can discuss the problems of Website maintenance
