I'll be giving free classes all day Friday and Saturday and I expect to see lots of NCwwers there in the audience. Seriously, it is going ot be a great show. I'm sure it will be the biggest and best so far. I haven't finalized my schedule for show yet, but I'll post my demonstration/class schedule for you guys when I have it finalized.
I won't be able to host the gathering this year since I will be demonstrating and be pretty busy during the shop. I'm all for heading to Frigator's shop or a local park that is close to the show. Heck maybe we can use one of the conference rooms at the show for the gathering. I can talk to Klingspor's about it. They rent the entire place for the show.
Thanks,
John

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Since I have't been to this one, can I get some details of what the show has to offer?

I made the mistake of stopping by John's shop en route and that BRIEF encounter with John led to acute Woodguy's disease...ended up buying an MM16, and a bunch of other ...ummmm...INVESTMENTS!!
(We had a great time )
Guess I need to start buttering her up NOW!

Ray - what does the show have to offer? Click here to see Klingspor's "highlights" from a few years back. It is a woodworking trade show directed more toward the hobbyist/professional rather than industrial like the recent Atlanta show. It is not usually quite as big as the Charlotte show, if you have seen that one (of course, there will be no Charlotte show this year! ). There are lots of exhibits, demos, and also usually plenty of opportunities to attend some free instructional seminars (like the one Woodguy did last year). There are usually some "show prices" on tools and equipment, but the real benefit IMHO is the opportunity to get hands-on exposure to some machinery etc that you probably don't usually see in the store showrooms.
But of course the main reason to come is the NC Woodworkers gathering! |

Name: Eric City: Concord State: NC County: Cabarrus Join Date: Dec 2005 Age: 35 Avg Visit Freq/Week = 5.72 over 180 days | Is the show mostly manufacturers showing their products? Are the demos and free seminars general information or geared to specific products such as how to use XYZ Inc's One Step(tm) Cutting, Joining, Finishing Tool?
How appropriate is it to bring a 1.5 year old to? That may be a requirement to get clearance to go depending on LOML's schedule.
Thanks!
