Here (link deleted) you can generate some interesting statistics. Not particularly encouraging

First of all thanks Steve and everyone. Merry Christmas. As an infrequent poster, but a frequent reader (almost daily) I try to keep up by looking at all new posts that even remotely spark an interest (which is most of them.)
Let me just say I have never gotten so much, for giving so little, in my life. (I have even used the discount card at Klingspor.) I feel guilty sometimes about not posting more often, but usually my 2 cents has been more eloquently stated by another and my personality likely lends itself to be more passive online. So thank you to all you extroverts that keep a great site like this up and running!

Yippee....I actually posted a useful thread (Do you work in IT and if so what do you do? "). By the way guys, I feel very comfortable posting and absolutely love the entire website. I do agree though that there is a core group (I hope to be part of that group) that posts more than others. It may be that some people just have a little more time to browse the site and surf through the postings due to the nature of our work. Just because they don't post doesn't mean they aren't getting a lot from the site.

My 2 cents....

Steve (Grandpa),
You are a worry wart! I know you worry about this site more than anyone else, but I am going to give you my .01 worth (can't afford .02 spent on tools). I get more out of this woodworking site than some of the others I lookat. Steve I don't look for Quanity but Quality which is worth alot more to me than quanity. We have Quality people on this site and some of us don't post every day or submit threads either, but we read and listen to what is being said and written. Go back and read all these posts and you will see Quality NOT Quanity. This is the most important site to me over this past year. If I have something to say I say it, if I don't then it doesn't mean I don't like what is being talked about. I agree with Cathy on getting more women involved. We have a good site and most people don't see anything wrong with it. Go play with the grandchild and we will enjoy Quality and not Quanity. You have done a remarkable job with keeping this site going, the people you have will NOT let you down. Well I have said my .01 worth which probably didn't make much sense after reading evryone elses post but gave it what I felt needed to be said! Happy New Year everyone! Terry

Numbers are Numbers and can be interperted in many ways - all depends on what you want them to say or think they should say.
I echo what everyone here has already said - THis a GREAT site , with GREAT people and GREAT discussions. Add to that we have a GREAT person (alais GRANDPA) that is administering the site.
What more could anyone ask for ? other than to continue doing the great job you are doing.
And take time to enjoy the grandkids !!!!
