What is your source for mirror(s) to go inside doors of a cabinet, armoire, etc? Do you have a source for mirror cut to size? Or do you pick up a mirror slightly larger than you need, and size it with a glass cutter and straight edge?

Tom,

We have had good luck using Binswanger Glass. I have used them both here in Raleigh and in Northern Virginia. I believe they are located throughout the southeast. Most of my stuff has been custom glass and mirrors cut for frames. Their price has always been competitive, and we have never had a quality problem.

Good luck,

Clayton now has a glass and mirror company. I recently got some glass theee, cut to size, and was quite satisfied, with the work, and service. If I hadn't happened to know aboutthat place tho, I would have grabbed the telephone book, and looked under glass. I suspect almost any place would custom cut to whatever size you want. If the first place doesn't custom cut, ask nicely if they know any place that will. Chances are they do, and possibly even have the number. I've found steel tubing that way, saves a lot of calls.

Binswanger for me as well. Good prices and prompt. I have used glass shops as well.

Personally, I have had zero success cutting glass.

In Winston-Salem, I found Pfaff's Glass, on Stratford Rd at Vest Mill Rd.

Believe it or not, Lowes.

I had to buy one of their stock sizes which was slightly too wide and they cut it to size. The guy that cut it asked me to come back in about an hour and get it. I'm not sure how many pieces he went through, but he had several band-aids on his fingers when I picked it up that he didn't have an hour earlier! ???
