Does anyone own the Steel City 65115 Mini Dust Collector? Amazon has it for $39.99 and there are two reviews that do not speak highly of it. I read a professional review that claimed it worked well but was quite loud. My shop is in my barn and noise is not a major concern since I usually wear hearing protection when I run my machinery. I want to be able to put it on my DeWalt 12.5" thickness planer and my Steel City 6" jointer. I have learned not to always trust some of the product reviews that I read. Thanks, Tony

I don't have it, but it's a very small unit. At only 300CFM, the machine it's clearing better not need much (because that ain't much).

I would think you would be better off with the harbor freight. I doubt it would keep up with your planer.

I would buy a HF dust collector, and add a Phil Thein baffle to it. The baffle will get over 90% of the chips, so they don't go into the bags.
