Anybody see A-TOH.this sunday? Tommy showed how to repair counter tops different ways. The last way was to hide a burn by installing a cutting board. He had a cutting board set in a recess ring, he did not say anything about it other than you could use one. Rita want's one and I have looked all around and can't find who sells them, anybody know who or where? Best I could find was HD had 1 at one time but can't find it on line, and talked to someone in apex store and he never heard about it.

What is A-TOH? I'm interested in this as my mom has a burn on her countertop.

Re: Recess Cutting Board

My daughter and her husband recently bought a 20 year old house and it has a glass built in cutting board next to the sink. I did not look at it very closely but it appears to be held in with a stainless steel ring similar to that used on the older sinks. I was not exactly thrilled with the idea since it did not appear to be easily removable and I was concerned about bacterial nasties growing under the edge at glass/rim juncture. My other concern would be proper sealing so water does not get to wood materials under the countertop. I remember when I redid the older kitchen in my last house water had gotten under a similar sink ring and caused quite a bit of damage, which is why I think sinks today are pretty much all self-rimming

Re: Recess Cutting Board

Tried them all but no luck yet. drainmate is close but not what Rita wants, no luck at Williams-Sonoma. ATOH doesn't have anything on it yet. I sent them a question about it sunday but the last time I asked them something it took 3 months to reply. Thanks for the help so.
