a quick release mechanism that would work for a 14"
Rigid Band Saw? Any other options for releasing the blade
tension? I know I can turn the adjustment knob but, I
would like for it to return to where I had it set.
All suggestion welcome.
Thanks,
Woodrat

That sure looks like it will do the trick.
They are sure proud of it.
Gotta do some shopping like you say.
Thanks for that link.

Thanks,
Woodrat Archie (and Mike) - I can save you some money.
When you release the tension, turn the knob a number of *complete* turns, say 4 or 5.
When you tighten by the same number of turns, the blade is back to exactly the same tension.

Thats what I do. I also keep a card on the front, near the switch, reminding me that it's "on" or "off" and how many turns, otherwise I'll forget .

-Mark Mark, thanks for that piece of wisdom. It seems that JimmyC
did mention that to me at one time but I'm getting old and can't
remember much any more.
That's what I'll do and save the money for more important things.
Jimmy, I need your card trick, buddy.
Thanks again.
