What is a large quantity? What is the size needed and what would you consider a good deal?

Sammy,

I'd suggest you call Bee Tree Hardwoods in Swannanoa (828-768-7242) and ask for Peter or Fred Tennant -- They may have some. If that doesn't pan out, you may be able to get some at Catawba Hardwoods in Marion (828-724-4922) ask for Brad Tipton. Much of their stock is 4/4 S2S, but I believe they also have rough lumber. I recently paid $2.50/BF for about 70 BF of 13/16 S2S FAS White Oak from their Hickory store. They also have good prices and selection on Hardwood plywoods.
