Does any one coming to the picnic have a spare or unused pen drilling jig I can borrow for a couple weeks?

You don't really need a store bought jig. I use a wooden screw clamp. you can also make one very easily out of a piece of 2x4. Cut a couple 45deg notches and put a hinge on one end. this will give you the idea. |

Unless you are doing segmented blanks or trying to maximumize a thin blanks and have no room for error, just about anything will do. As long as the hole goes in on one end and out the other and keeps the sides intact you're good.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Dave Thanks for putting things in proper simplified perspective, when I get the lathe running I would like to avoid the purchase of MORE specialized tooling .gif)

Then the darkside will completely assimilate you

We have something in the works. More will be revealed at a later date. All this info will come in handy. But I can feel my world starting to get turned upside down . |
