Need plans for a nice Morris chair and ottoman

I need to find plans for a nice Morris chair and ottoman to make for my niece. She likes Mission style, but does not want a whole lot of vertical slats .... some are ok, but not a lot. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Google is your friend. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Morris+chair+plans

There is a chair plan for purchase about 3 or 4 entries down that has few slats and might be what you're looking for. Throw "free" in front of your inquiry, and you might get some decent free plans.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Re: Need plans for a nice Morris chair and ottoman

Take a look at my Morris Chair post on 11/20/20. The number of side slats in my chair are about half the number the the plan called for. Very easy to change this part of the plan

Jim, if you're going to be in the Raleigh area I've got an original Mission style Morris chair that you're welcome to come measure. It's very comfortable.

Re: Need plans for a nice Morris chair and ottoman

i have a morris chair that my father-in-law grew up in and would be happy to email you some pictures. it isn't exactly mission style because there are too many turned and scroll pieces on the chair. if you would like a picture or measurement's i'd be glad to oblidge.
