Hi - I offer up as a recommendation Yates Precision Metal Works in north Harnett County. It is right off 401S at Spence Mills Road.

Strangely, the mailing address is Fuquay.

I just used him for a small job facing off a broken part on my thickness planer and cutting some 3/8" plate.

He is a manual machinist and willing to take small jobs. If you're like me, you have a hard time finding tradespeople for the small one-of stuff.

He appears to have every tool known to a WW2 machinist, including a roller that will bend 1" steel plate into a 24" dia. pipe <awe>

-Mark

Is this the planer that was posted some time ago? If so, I resemble that remark! Lucky me, my neighbor is a retired machinist. When he moved here, I built him a 3 phase rotory converter. Now when I need machine shop work done___. Several friends have used Yates and been very happy- a good guy!

If you are north of the triangle, we also have a good-un in Oxford, Pro Metals. He has done a couple of small jobs for me and I am satisfied.
