I need to find a _cheap_ low speed motor. RPM's somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-100 RPM and capable of ~50 lb-in torque and < 1/4 HP. There's plenty I can find on ebay but going for more than I'd like to spend. I'd like to try to keep the price <$30 if possible. Anybody got any suggestions?

I was pondering maybe a rotisserie (sp) motor, but I think the RPM's would be too low. Anybody have one and can comment on the RPM's?

I have a rotisserie that came with my grill and if memory serves, I would say it is in the neighborhood of 10 RPM's.

Yeah, I saw those on ebay, but the seller doesn't have any info about the torque rating (I asked) so I'm reluctant to pull the trigger on them.

I did think about the windshield wiper motor idea too; there's some new ones (Saturn models you probably saw on ebay). Those are going on ebay for a reasonable price and I may end up going that route if nothing else comes up. It would be a very cheap solution and those things must have a pretty good torque rating to slog mud, snow and sleet all day long.

An old variable speed drill would work too but I really need something for continuous duty. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction. There a couple of models there that may work and the prices are great! I really appreciate it!
