I am looking for a magnetic starter / switch assembly ( 5 hp single phase)and know of a couple of sources but would like to look at all possibilities before pulling the trigger on one. Known sources are:

Woodworkers Supply
Grizzly

Any more???????

Thanks,
Mike

There is a used electrical parts dealer in Burlington, NC.
Southland Electrical Supply.
I've bought all kinds of switches, breakers, starters from them for years.
I think they'll ship anywhere.

If the motor has built in thermal protection, you can build your own. You won't need the heaters in motor is thermally protected. They are basically a N.O., N.C. switches, along with a relay and transformer if you want it to be low voltage. N.O. switch is the start and N.C. switch is the stop switch. I build magenetic starters for my tools. In case of a power failure, I don't come back to a running machine.
