I'm looking for a 2 horsepower,56 frame,5/8 shaft ,3 phase motor for my woodfast lathe.I've checked some motor suppliers and there price is approx. 150% of what I paid for the lathe. If anybody knows of any places that deal in motors that are reasonable please let me know .I have a variable freq. drive that is rated for 5 hp. so I'm all set there. But I do need to upgrade from the 1 hp that is in it.Thanx |

Don't know if you've checked with them, but the last time I needed a motor no one I found could come close to their price.
They see new, repair, and also are a warranty location for lots of tools.
Hope it helped~ |

I have a never used (new old stock) 3 hp, 3 ph, 3450 rpm Baldor that I pulled out of a never used Delta shaper. Are you interested? If so I can take pics of motor and ID plate. |

I appreciate the response but I need a 1750 rpm motor and with the controller I got my hands on it needs to be no more than 2 hp.The lathe body is pretty narrow as the 1 hp that is in it now is a tight fit.Thanx ,
CaptnA, thanx for the info,I'll check with them after the weekend.
