Large size threaded inserts

I am looking for some large, ie 3/8" or larger threaded inserts. I am coming to Raleigh tomorrow and just wanted to know who might have such an animal so I don't burn a lot of gas chasing ghosts. I will be using the inserts and hanger bolts to repair a king size bed for a client who wants to be able to take the upper section of the bed posts off as needed. They don't want large dowels so that rules out the easy and more reliable method, IMHO. So does anyone know who might have something like this. Most of what I have seen available are just too small for such large posts.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Large size threaded inserts

Mike,

You can order them from McMaster-Carr. Look under "Fasteners" for threaded inserts.
