Jessem Sliding Router Table

Does anybody on the site have a Jessem Sliding Router Table? I Got one from Norm the other nite and we were not sure what parts/fences/etc. should be with it.Also I would like to find the video and /or manual to copy so I can use it without injuring myself.Any help or info would surely be appreciated.

I must have been in a coma when I wrote this, its a JESSEM not a Bessey!

Re: Bessey Sliding Router Table

Cathy,
I edited my post but I can't change the Title to reflect that it is a JESSEM ,not a Bessey.Sorry,I think maybe drinking a few refreshments and posting late on Saturday nite is not safe.

Re: Jessem Sliding Router Table

I have the Jessem master top, master fence, and master lift. I do not as of yet have the sliding miter fence.

All in all I would say all components are very well made, easy to adjust, and easy to set up. The miter fence seems like a nice addition, but my only concern is chewing up the phenolic piece and having to replace it.

Re: Jessem Sliding Router Table

Travis,
I have the "sliding router table",the whole router slides on a plate that is connected to a pull bar on the front of the table. It works like an inverted radial arm saw.Seems like it would be great for dado's.Its just that I've never seen one so I do not know what all I should have with it. I will try to get a picture of it posted later today.

Re: Jessem Sliding Router Table

Cathy, that is what I thought he was talking about, but I think I had it wrong.

Re: Jessem Sliding Router Table

The product was called Rout R Slide. Jessem no longer makes them and hasn't for several years. It seems that someone on Ebay is still selling them, but nobody seems to have instructions.

Re: Jessem Sliding Router Table

Steve,
Norm on the site gave it to me ,he got it through a auction ,it came along with the lot he wanted.I've found it on Amazon but it says it is no longer available. It's in excellent shape and would seem to be great for slot mortises and dados, and I'm sure much more.
