You didn't mention a price range, but the above suggests that you are "thrifty"  Any of the high-end contractors saws will probably make you very happy. They will all be far more powerful and considerably more accurate than what you have. With a good blade, I've never had trouble ripping >2" hardwoods with my 1.5hp contractor saw (Delta with Unifence). Spend more on a hybrid or cabinet saw, and it'll just get that much better :>

You can watch Craigslist and be patient for a good saw to come along.
