I enjoy woodworking but currently lack the space for a woodshop. Where I previously lived there was a craft center where people could use the woodshop for a quarterly membership fee. Is there anything like that in the North Charlotte/Harrisburg/Concord, NC area? Or is there a network of private individuals through whom I might be able to gain access to a woodshop? Thank you for your help.

Megan,
Do you have a certain project in mind?

I don't know of anywhere around that offers the service you are looking for, but there are several members of North Carolina Woodworker in the area that I'm sure you could bribe (normally by offering help when it's needed).

And when you get a chance, pop over to the "Who We Are" forum and introduce yourself. You'll find this a rather friendly bunch

Just as a point of clarification, this screen name is being shared by my husband and myself, and the inquiry was made with him in mind as he is the avid wordworker while I am just beginning to learn about and appreciate the craft. His immediate interest is in finding a way to make two nightstands to match the bed he finished just before we moved though I doubt he will be satisfied with stopping there…….
