I prefer local merchants even if they are a little higher in price. Also looking for a jointer blade sharpening service. |

Tom at Woodcraft probably could guide you in the right direction also.
FOr sharpening services, there are several in the Raleigh area. The subject was discussed in this thread and a few others http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/s...pening+service. http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/s...earchid=273163

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

I have an open account at Grainger. Call um up and order, with UPS guy having them on my back porch before noon the following day. Tractor Supply, along with Agr-Supply also stock bearings. For mail order, it is hard to beat VBX on price or service. Last winter, I ordered a set of ten bearings thrust bearings for my bandsaw. Total cost including shipping was about twenty dollars. |
