I gave your floor idea some thought but will not be doing that. My building budget is stretched to the max...assuming I actually get to build it. I should know in a few days if I get to start it this year. I have some melamine...thanks for the tip.
I can get a 45 deg 6" elbow for $7.80, a 6" wye for $16.50, 6" to 4" reducer for $10.20, 6" 10' pipe for $18.80 and 4" 10' pipe for $9.50. All S&D ASTM D-2729.

They have gone up some- but so has everything else. If anyone tries to tell you that metal duct is cheaper than PVC S&D, just ask him what he paid for a 6" wye. FYI, your fittings are likely ASTM 3034 or 3035 (same ID as 2729). The rare 2729 fitting I have seen (in 4") appeared to have a thinner wall and was made from plastic, not PVC. It should be fine for our needs anyway. |
