I would also check the State Farmers Market site and CL. In CL do a search for craft under events.

There is always the Cary LazyDays Festival held every year in August.

It does draw a pretty large crowd of folks though!!

There is usually a lot of craft displays/booths set up. (Not sure what they charge to rent a spot, though. Maybe some more details in the link above.)
