Question 1/4 Cherry ply

I am going to need some 1/4 cherry ply in the near future - does anyone know of a place I can buy some?

Phillip

The Hardwood Store in Gibsonville near Burlington. Might be a bit of a drive.

Re: 1/4 Cherry ply

Phillip, how much are you looking for? If for scrolling and you can't find locally I would order from Sloan's. Both Robert, aka Sawduster, and I have used them many times. Great prices and great customer service.

If you need larger sizes and amounts most local lumber yards, not the BORGs, can order it for you.

Re: 1/4 Cherry ply

Thanks everyone - I want to make a chess set and I want to use the cherry and possibly red oak for the squares - Not sure about the RO - I think that I might order it

Thanks again
Phillip

Re: 1/4 Cherry ply

Phillip I have used cherry and RO plywood and I am not sure cherry and RO will give enough contrast unless you plan to stain. You might want to consider walnut and maple. Just a suggestion.
