My father in law works at a framing shop and he got me alot of scrap wood (a whole truck load) some of it was poplar but there was some god maple and some cherry too. |

By green do you mean "I cut the log yesterday" or just not kiln dried. I guess anything is fine - but if it has powder post beetles in it I definatly don't want it. The worms that get in the trees while they are still alive are fine.
What is a furniture "framing" shop?
