Homemade Industrial size Lathes for Sale: (1) The long lathe has a overall length of 90 inches, maximum stock length of 70 inches. The bed is 2 – 6 inch channel steel beams. (2) The bowl lathe bed is 2 – 8 inch channel steel beams. Included is an assortment of pullies and 7 knives. $450 for both lathes and accessories. I did not make the lathes. They were made by a friend of my father's in Lincolnton, NC 20+ years ago. I got them when my father died in 1997. I build reproduction furniture, mostly from chestnut. The long lathe was used to make tapered bed post. I rarely need anything turned. If anyone is interested make me an offer.
