I have the tank only, well with wheels and handle, for a Sears air compressor. The tank is a horizontal one. The compressor is GONE, and my son and I have salvaged the pressure gauge/ regulator from it to fix two other compressors. The comp was oil less, so there is no oil residue in tank. It could be used as a "booster tank" for a small compressor, or as a reservoir for a vacumm pump. As a booster tank, it could be remotely located, like under the house, or out of site and shop space. If you want it ,say so, or it goes to the metal recycle bin.

darn, darn, darn... I had an old compressor in my shop that I went looking for the other day to use the tank for this same concept, and it was gone!!! guess it had made its way to GWCF . and I was too late for this one.

Pete or whomever,
Don't give up yet. I also have an old compressor tank that may fit your needs. I think it's about the same size, but horizontal on frame and wheels. The compressor/regulator is shot and the motor has been repurposed. However, AFAIK the tank does not leak and it's easy enough to remove the unneeded parts. And, of course, it's free! Let me know and I will check the tank size and take a pix if your are interested.

Roger

Just goes to show that one man's trash is another's treasure. Glad to see it put to use, rather than trashed, which by the way is where I got it originally. I love dumpster diving and going to junk yards. Pete, you did get a CI table saw wing for Christmas- you can't get ALL the goodies.

true, true I have to pull some of the hardware off the saw, so that I can get the right bolts to put the CI wing on, and move the stamped wing to the other side.... that will happen as soon as I get the outfeed table finished. I have scored pretty well in the tool department this Christmas

Thanks Roger, that would be great! and another great excuse for a road trip and the required side trips to Woodcraft, or where-ever

Pete,
Glad to do it. I may not get around to it today, but will ASAP. The compressor was a Campell Hausfeld.

LOML has my "appointment book" pretty full this week

That's cool! My work schedule wasn't published until this morning, at least I didn't find that yesterday was my day off!

Pete, et. al.,

Here's a pix of the Campbell Hausfeld compressor tank. I have the original manual, but it won't do you much good. Motor, pump, and regulator are kaput! But the tank should be in great shape.
