I've already noticed that there is another Travis around here. Growing up in Louisville KY, I was the only guy with that name. I moved to Arizona after college to live and work at the Grand Canyon. About that time there was at least one character named Travis on a popular TV soap opera. I discovered that the name was popular among the Navajos. I met my future wife and after awhile, we moved to Tucson where I got a graduate degree in Library Science. Upon graduation, the best job for me was in Raleigh and we've been in the Triangle ever since. I used to look for a better place to live, but I never found one. Oh, Raleigh had a mayor in the 60's (I think) with the first name Travis.

Yup - been there done that....

When I retired from Sprint Nextel, there were SEVEN Scott Smith's in our e-mail directory. That got a little interesting to say the least... Went through HS and college with at least one more Scott Smith at the schools (and they were small schools).

Travis, WELCOME to North Carolina Woodworker!

Scott

Greetings Travis. You are in fine company. Maybe we can rename the site to something like, "North Carolina Woodworker, Home of the Travis"?

Looking forward to your participation!

Jim

I get a little tired of spelling my name now and then...but at least there is NOBODY else that has the same name, at least in this country

Travis, welcome aboard! As you can see, this crowd is easily amused, so don't be afraid to jump in and post.
