I've already noticed that there is another Travis around here. Growing up in Louisville KY, I was the only guy with that name. I moved to Arizona after college to live and work at the Grand Canyon. About that time there was at least one character named Travis on a popular TV soap opera. I discovered that the name was popular among the Navajos. I met my future wife and after awhile, we moved to Tucson where I got a graduate degree in Library Science. Upon graduation, the best job for me was in Raleigh and we've been in the Triangle ever since. I used to look for a better place to live, but I never found one. Oh, Raleigh had a mayor in the 60's (I think) with the first name Travis. | | Views: 252 | |

Welcome Travis! Seems weird to say that....
I was named after a guitar player. Merl Travis (I think that is how you spell the first name). Not too many of us with that name, but seems odd when you do meet someone with it to "address" someone by your name. | |
