This is such a great site with so many awesome people. Many who have already met, but for the ones who don't know what we are about or who we are let's post some pictures. I know that we have the Who We Are gallery http://www.ncwoodworker.net/pp/showgallery.php?cat=93 with members pictures, but many might not know to go there, or realize the fun of commenting on folks pics.
So to start this off.... this is me, and my beautiful daughter last year about this time -

And for y'alls humor a few of me doing my other favorite activity (besides beer drinkin')

Me and a few of my college buds on top of a mountain in Washington state -

The beginning of that month long backpacking trip. I can't believe how skinny I was back then ('99) -

Me and my now wife at Joyce Klimer Mem. forest in NC (~'95) -

Now that I've bared my soul and bad hair stylings. I expect y'all to do the same. Let's see you are. Pictures of you, pictures of you doing things that you love or with the ones that you love. Or just goofy pictures of you in high school.
This is gonna be fun!!!!

Re: Who are you.....

It looks like I have a lot more to learn about woodworking AND beer. Just when I thought I knew a little something... At least they are both very worthwhile. The only problem is that my tablesaw has a two beer limit.

Re: Who are you.....

Watch out Brian and DaveO,

A few years ago I figured what was making my rear end and belly swell up so much. The swelling slowly went away when I stopped drinking 'real' beers/lagers/ales (I was not far off from having a plate with my name on it at the Flying Saucer in Nashville...Ommegang, Dead Guy, Sierra Nevada Celebration and Cottonwood IPA were my favorites. I must have developed an allergy to it. Now it's Ultra Light Amber for me or if I'm really celebrating an Amstell light

You youngins get all the fun.

Table saw and beer? Any saw and beer? Ok maybe just one.But that is seriously my limit when in the shop. One only just to quench the thirst on a hot day. Assembly, now that is another thing. After the cutting is done, the safety factor has been exercised and assembly requires no dangerous tools. Might get a finger stuck in a clamp or in the glue, but won't end up missing anything.

Re: Who are you.....

Come on folks, there has got to be a few more members that have pics of themselves and aren't afraid to show them. Woodnet can make a similar thread run for a year, we can do better than that...because we are better, and friendlier

My monitor did not blow up and I can still see but between the t-shirt and the stern expression I am thoroughly convinced I would not want to tick you off !!

Okay I'll give it a shot.

Here is a picture of Char and I in 1967 graduating high school.

We like wood. (tree's) Ponderosa Pine smells like butterscotch. Seriously.
USA tour of 2007.

Us with the giant redwoods in Norhern California 2007.

We're glad to see all of you. Great pics and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Hope this works.

Thanks Amy, I have met you and your husband, but I didn't know that you had such cute little girls and a pretty grey kitty. Thanks for sharing

Re: Who are you.....

I wanted to spend a moment to provide a photo of Becky and I in our "makeshift" woodshop. It's just our carport, but we primarily only do prep work and finishing. After finding North Carolina Woodworker, it won't be long before I either enclose the carport or reclaim the sunroom to make room for an actual shop. (I know, I need to hit the track!). It feels really great to finally share a current photo of us!
