This is such a great site with so many awesome people. Many who have already met, but for the ones who don't know what we are about or who we are let's post some pictures. I know that we have the Who We Are gallery http://www.ncwoodworker.net/pp/showgallery.php?cat=93 with members pictures, but many might not know to go there, or realize the fun of commenting on folks pics.
So to start this off.... this is me, and my beautiful daughter last year about this time -




And for y'alls humor a few of me doing my other favorite activity (besides beer drinkin')

Chimay is a Belgium styled ale that is very strong in the candy sugars. It's brewed traditionally by Trappist Monks. Chimay is the most recognized brand. If you like the Red (Rouge) you should try the Bleue . They have a high gravity, but don't have the alpha acids produced by the high hopping rate. IPA's were originally brewed by the British for the troops to take with them on their conquers of India. Ales would spoil on those long ocean voyages, so to combat the microbial infestation the brewers increased the sugars in their brews thusly increasing the alcohol level (gravity).To temper the sweetness they added more Hops which also increased the acidity making the brew even more inhabitable to microbes. The result was a high alcohol ale with a very strong Hop flavor. I have sampled some IPA that are as strong as wine. I have tried the bleue and actually like it. It is strong, but has a pleasing taste to me. And yes you sound like a beer geek, but that is (WHO WE ARE).
