OK, I'll spill the beans

My name is Dave O'Nan, I am 35 and moved to the area with my fiancee 5 years ago, when she finished her Masters program (yes she's 6 yrs. younger..sleath gloat). We've since married and had a absolutly beautiful daughter (currently 21 mo.). I got bitten by the ww'ing bug after making a head board for our bed, and realized that I wasn't a complete hack at it. I am a landscape designer by trade, so I have always worked with my hands and have some eye for design. I like to design my own projects, I've only built one thing from a plan and I modified it. My wife gives me a picture from a high priced catalog, and asks me to make it and I go from there. The good thing about designing you own projects is that any screw-ups, were supposed to be that way. Since buying a house in Clayton, with a 1.5 car buried garage, I have been creating my first wookshop and working on my tool inventory. I love it, it my place to unwind and forget about my problem and create something that makes me proud. There is more endless boreing trivia I could give about myself, but if you have made it to this far thru my ramblings, you deserve a break. Thanks for looking, Dave

Thanks again, Steve, for your help in getting here. I have learned so much from Woodnet, but have always desired to know the locals better. Woodnet is great for a wide, very wide range of advice, but there are some questions that can only be answer correctly by locals. So, much to my wife's dismay, I now have two forums to check on nightly. Dave

I don't know how I got that avatar, possibly it's the default. In reality I am more a dark lavender color. Dave
