Hello,
I tried to join the site some time ago but kept having password problems so I gave up. Problem solved now. I've been piddling with wood most of my 54 years.
I'll be asking some questions mostly in regard to turning bowls on a lathe, something new for me. Most of my wood projects have been carving spoons and bowls with hand tools.
I also have a barn full of rough sawn walnut, cherry, cedar, some oak, pecan and beech. Also have access to a lot of old pine. I need to get rid of most of it!! I'm building my kitchen cabinets with the cherry, but I'm not a cabiet maker, which makes it a real challange. The rest of my wood came as a result of just not being able to watch all that beautiful wood end up in someone's fireplace. I guess it's a sickness!
Anyway, thanks for having me.
