Hi from K-Town! Thanks for letting me join the forum. What a great resource!
I have loved woodworking since my first Industrial Arts class my freshman year in high school. I have been working at woodworking even since doing projects for family and friends. I lost my little shop several years ago when we sold our property and moved across town. We built a new house, but couldn't afford to build a shop right away. A friend has let me have some space in his shop to set up my machines, and that has been great. Still, I have longed to have my own shop again. Well, my dream came true. I was able to build a new shop right beside the house. I just got my equipment moved in, but I'm still setting up. I can't wait to cut something besides OSB and 2x4s.

If you guys have any suggestions for setup, lighting, etc. or if you can point me to old threads on the topic, I would appreciate it.

Be sure and share some pictures once you get it setup. As was mentioned before, check out the search feature in the top right and definitely the shop crawl if you can make it.
