Hello everyone. Man, this website is full of really nice people. I think I mainly just joined so I could be friends with yall. My name is Ben, I'm a historian, I live in Chapel Hill and just moved down from Boston. Before that Houston, before that Auburn, with a stop here and there in London, Montana, and a birth in Atlanta a ways back. I worked for a rustic furniture maker who used a lot of locust and mt laurel, and learned by just trying things out. I'm afraid that's still mainly how I operate. Sometimes I cuss a lot in the woodshop.
I'm working on a walnut dining room table that's as big as a bus. I started a thread today and have already gotten lots of great advice.
Here's some pics:

Cute kids!!!
Tom Swortzel Hi Tom, I lived in Clyde Park, just north of Livingston and Bozeman. Worked at a place called the Crazy Mountain Ranch, which was a cattle ranch when I was there but has since morphed into a sort of shi-shi dude ranch. I truly had no idea what I was doing and broke lots of tractors and probably scared the cows more than I helped them. |
