Well, I suppose an introductory post is in order. My Name is Dave and I live in Charlotte for half of the week and Hickory for the other. I do projects as much as I can in my little shop, and I have lots of fun. I like working with highly figured woods of all kinds on projects ranging from luthiery to cutlery and all kinds of fun stuff. If I had to pick a wood as a favorite it would have to be figured Claro walnut.

Lets see if I have this photo thing all figured out
This is a shaving brush I made out of Claro Walnut and quilted maple with a silvertip badger brush. BTW I am also very much into straight razor shaving, restoration etc. enjoy!

I'll be there! I'm looking forward to it. The only problem with having that store so close is that I'm always on the verge of bankruptcy

And thanks for the comments everyone

It's great to have you with us, and I look forward to your input in the forums.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

I like eggs alright, but I'm not a huge fan of parking meters
