Hello again all.
Joel Jordan here (a.k.a. jsjordan) I've been away from the site for awhile now due to life stuffs but I'm finally getting settled in a new place (with a shop!!) and very much looking forward to making some sawdust again. 
I'll be posting photos of my 2-car garage as I slowly transform it into a shop (finally!). I've made good progress but always LOTs more to do. So far I have the built-in bench finished and just completed a combo outfeed table/work table which I'm very pleased with.
I also look forward to reconnecting with those here I met when I first joined North Carolina Woodworker and to making new friends with those of you I have yet to meet.

Thanks very much! It's been over a year since I was able to get back here but I agree that it's only gotten better. Everyone I've met here has been very friendly, knowledgable, and kind. It is awesome to find a site like this!!

Hey Joel, it's great to hear from you again. I was surprised when I got your PM the other day. Sorry I didn't reply, I got many along the same topic and the issue had already been addressed by the time I got around to it. You still making those awesome guitars?? Your designs are some of the most unique I've ever seen.

I'm glad you are hearing from me again too!  No worries on the reply. I saw the thread about this, after sending you the PM of course. DOH!
The guitars have been on-hold while I get the shop back but I'm steaming ahead and hope to be back in production.
We never made it happen so maybe this time we can actually hook up for some brews, bandsaw,a nd music down at the Flyin Saucer sometime?

Hey - I do play guitar a little but mostly very badly.  I've had a lot more success playing drums, which I play with a Raleigh-based band called Fossil Fuel.
Building guitars gave me a chance to put my love of music together with my love of woodworking. It doesn't hepl me play any better, but it sure is a lot of fun!

I live in Knightdale just off Hodge Road although I've been to Lizard Lick many times. Not sure if it's still there but Uncle Zebs used to have the coldest beer around!
