We are going to coordinate a little something many woodworkers like.... wood!

Working with a few of our Wood Dealers to get some nifty lumber into your hands after the Crawl.

The plan is at ~4:30pm, after we finish touring Amy's Shop, we'll take to the trucks and pick up some wood.

Over the next few days, I'll be updating you with lumber options. If you have requests, just reply to this thread and we'll see what can be arranged.

Send me a Private Message if you'd like to sell Wood at the Crawl.

Don't forget, you need to fill out the Crawler Form to attend: http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/m...do=form&fid=13

Thanks!
Jim

Re: DOC Shop Crawl: Lumber Run

I'm sharing what Scott has offered up for this CLR (Crawl Lumber Run!). He is offering us a special price on this lumber. Anyone who has had the pleasure of Scott's lumber can attest to its to notch quality.

Anyone who has hit him in the head with some of his oak can also attest to its strength (I'm still sorry about that....)

All the Oak is "Log run" and was milled at 5/4 or 4/4.

Quarter Sawn Red Oak: 10" and under @ $3.25/board foot
Quarter Sawn White Oak: 10" and under @ $3.25/board foot
** Over 10" is a bit more

Flat Sawn Red Oak: 10" and under @ $2.00/board foot
Flat Sawn White Oak: 10" and under @ $2.00/board foot
** Over 10" is a bit more

Eastern Red Cedar: 5/4 x 5" @ 1.80/board foot

Let us know what you'd like him to bring, and by golly, he will bring it

Here he comes, the lumber man, the lumber man, the lumber man, here he comes the lumber man, so earl-eye in the morn'n......

Someone take away my keyboard, I'm outta control!!!

Jim

Re: DOC Shop Crawl: Lumber Run

Hey! Lets jump on this lumber!

Dan and I were down at Scott's modest shop and got to see some of this lumber, it is fantastic!! Not to mention the great deal he is offering NCWWers.

If you are interested in any of this, just post here so Scott has an idea of how much to load up.

Jim

Re: DOC Shop Crawl: Lumber Run

I wanted to bump this up!

For those who might wonder, here are some prices from a local wood retailer:
QSRO: 4/4 @ $5.95/board foot
Wormy Maple: 4/4 @ $3.55/board foot

As you can see, these fella's are offering us some real deals!!

Just post here what you are interested in so they know how much to bring.

Re: DOC Shop Crawl: Lumber Run

ebrant - gotcha covered.

I'll have a few hundred bd ft of QSRO and QSWO on the trailer, along with about 150 bd ft of ERC. Some of the QSRO boards are 16" wide and bookmatched!
