Woodsmith #160

Anyone have, or know where I can get, a copy of Woodsmith #160?
It has plans for a bed I'd like to take a look at.

Re: Woodsmith #160

I'm sure I have that issue somewhere. I can dig it up if you like. You can get the plans for that project from PlansNow, and the cutlist for that project is available online here.

My wife has her eye on that exact plan! Please let me know how the project works out for you.

Looks like it's my turn to reciprocate, but I need to scan the article for you...give me a day or two... Rob

Pete,

I have it in my hand right now! It is the Low-profile Platform Bed! Terry

Go to their web site and click on the archives link. You should be able to find it there and download the plans.

Re: Woodsmith #160

Thanks guys . . .

I'm still in the planing stage so don't look for pictures anytime soon.
But . . . the wood is in the shop. should ready to rough out pretty soon.
The headboard will be something like this rendering. and the frame like the picture. I wanted to look at the Woodsmith plans to help me figure out the best way to do the joinery.

Re: Woodsmith #160

Pete,

where did you find that bed? With even shorter legs, that would be great!!! I am also interested in the plans from Woodsmith #160 for the joinery and cut list, but I really like the 'headboards(?)' in the photo.

Re: Woodsmith #160

Thanks! I have been to that site before, but it has been a long time. Now with the other plans in hand, I think I can get approval from the CFO for future wood purchases. 'course, she would like the current bookcase project for my son's room finished first.

followed a link for assembly directions for that bed, and it solves the connection question for those headboards. can't wait for the CFO to see it!

Don't forget to have you CFO make room in the budget for whatever new tool I'm sure your're going to need to complete her new bed
