There's a GRIZZLY in my shop.....

.....but it's the good kind. I picked up Turtlewood's (Kevin) G0513 bandsaw this morning. Thanks to Chris for helping to load it. It was nice to meet a couple of fellow WWers and Kevin's dad.

Someone needs to get Kevins Dewalt 733 planer...it looks just like new. Great buy.

I haven't got it set up yet but it is safe and sound in my shop. I know....no photos it didn't happen. Maybe I'll get the photos loaded tomorrow night. It has been a hectic day. Drove 2 hrs to Cary, picked up saw, left Kevins and my truck forced me to detour to Woodcraft where I helped Tom's bottom line a little, then 2 hrs drive home, unload the saw, baby sit the grandson for a few hours, then to a meeting.. now off to bed for a early rise in the morning.

BTW: I will be posting a sale for a lightly used Jet 12" bandsaw in a couple of days.

Awright Dolan!
I'm sure the Grizzly will be happy in its new home . . . but they are territorial. Better get the Jet out of there for it's own safety.

Congrats,
Roger

Okay Dolan, this is an advance "YOU SUCK" absent the pictures of course, you know that isn't an official "YOU SUCK", at time of photo posting, you will have earned the official "YOU SUCK".

sure, it seems silly for me to mention that "YOU SUCK" over bandsaw gloatage?

Re: There's a GRIZZLY in my shop.....

Finally got the photos uploaded.

It is tucked in for the ride home.

Kevin (Turtlewood), Chris (Chris99z71) and Dolan (Splinter)

When I headed for home, my truck took a detour to Woodcraft.

I have the bandsaw in the shop but have not had time to set it up for using it yet. It has been a hectic week. I plan to rearrange some of the tools in the shop so I can get the bandsaw closer to my power panel, then have a 220v circuit installed rather than changing the motor to the 110v setup.

Re: There's a GRIZZLY in my shop.....

I finally got back into the shop yesterday and got the Grizzly set up and today I install two new 220 volt circuits. One for the Grizzly and a second one just in case I decide to upgrade my 6" Jet jointer to a larger jointer. I had to rearrange some of the tools to get the Grizzly near the power panel so it would be easier to run the new power circuit. It passed the nickel test. Smooth! I ordered some DC stuff that should be here in a few days so I can connect it to the DC and then I can finally use it. I tried it on a few small pieces of wood, now I want to try it with some big stuff. I want to build the resaw sled that was in the last issue of WOOD.
