off topic my other thing
What i do in the rest of my spare time.
cut stones and do silver work.
some i cut
Opal's but the fire does not show up in the pictures
opals free form cut to get the most fire still cant see it in the pictures

Ever get an opportunity to combine the stone cutting or silver work into the wood projects? I have read about people looking for silver worksmanship in their pens they turn.

Wow, cool, how do you cut the stones. Is it more of a grinding than actually cutting? Boy if I could only make jewelry I could fill that massive jewelry box I made for my wife.

John (stoneskippers) used to cut cabechons and also did really nice work. His arthritis in his thumbs got too bad and he had to quit. Those look great!
