NCWW Pony Express

Heater is loaded and ready for first leg of transfer to Mike.

Leg 1 of the North Carolina Woodworker Pony Express "Heater Transfer" is complete. I delivered the heater to Roger (Sapwood) at our lunch get-together yesterday in Wilmington. Thanks to Charles (Skeeter), Matt and Roger for getting it moved from one truck to the other.

Mike,

If your old truck will make the trip, I recommend you use it rather than the mini-van. The heater is rather heavy (right Roger?) and trying to get it in/out of a mini-van while you are stooped over is not good on the back. Just my .02.

Re: NCWW Pony Express

Black Bart is now safe and sound in Durham.

Yes Mike, bring a truck. Sliding the stove from truck to truck isn't bad. But moving it up and down will be a challenge. Also consider it has a bit of rust and lots of pointy, metal edges. That's tough on upholstery.

I'll give John a call today. We may have to call for reinforcements to get it into the "Beast"

Big thanks to Dolan for elevating it 3 ft and getting it to Wilm

Roger

Re: NCWW Pony Express

Oops! Temporary delay in journey.
Wagon number three wasn't quite large enough. JMRII was kind enough to help me transfer the load to a tarp under my deck though

So we're holding out until Oct. 14th trip to Mike's. Watch out Tom, DaveO, Clay, etc. . . . I will need some help reloading for the trip to Mike's.

Roger
