This is a couple stacks of wood slats. Leigh's dad works for some company that makes windows and screens. They use these slats for support between the material and the pallet. He has been keeping it for a little while and he gave it to me.

This is Lilly

Congrats to all from Lilly. Yeah we only got the one dog. We had gone to get the two dogs and the kids didnt want to listen on the way up there and I ended up turning around coming home. The kids were gone when we got Lilly. They thought we were not going to have a dog anytime soon. I hope I dont regret my change of heart. I could have built her house for inside the house, but its Sunday. I'll make it tomorrow. I tried to put a picture of it on here, but I dont know how to take the sketchup file and convert it to a file that is allowed on this site.

I am thinking about taking some 2x4s and rip them down to 1 1/2x1 1/2. Build a box then take those pine slats and riping the tongue and groove off, then rip to 6" wide. The box is going to be two feet wide, three feet deep, and two and one half feet tall. Frame in a little door(1'x2') Run the 6"wide slat across the bottom, and then skip 6". Do that on all sides. Should look nice. I am thinking about turning her house into a house/end table. If I slat across the top of her cage instead of skiping 6".

They look great with the tail - try it, you'll like it.

The woman who we got Lilly from was suppose to have her tail docked. I was only going to be $25, but she didnt get around to it til it was too late. Now Lilly will have to have surgery. I think she looks cute with tail. She found her tail the other day and of course chased it for a minute or two. The size for the crate (a.k.a. Lilly's Room) was to match the one the woman we got lilly from. Lilly wasnt the runt of the litter but was one of the smaller ones. I have read alot on the net about training, and I love watching Cesar Millan. Lilly has been on the couch twice. Of couse we get a dog right after we get a new couch.

Puppy Gloat: Lilly loves the wood shop, I was afraid the noise would bother her, but she didnt even budge. I used the tablesaw, router, chop saw and she just laid on the couch (the one we had before the new one)

Our dogs hang out in the shop whenever we are there. None of the noise seem to matter more than being with us. Please keep us posted about her - we can enjoy a new puppy without the "opportunities" that presents!
