Angry

Started out Friday night I picked up a false trojan see this thread.

http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=11881

Jeremy put me on the right track and I found the problem file but in the process of trying to clean it up I or
something
created more problems. Now I have some type of virus shield program which mysteriously appered thats as annoying as the popup false trojan was, my Norton antivirus is either no longer there or won't start on boot up, and the system said I didn't have a printer amoungst a few other annoyances.

Well I did'nt romove any hardware or uninstall any programs so it was time to call in the calvery and off to repair it went this morning. Maybee with some luck it will be back before the LOML gets back from her cruise. Whaile I'm here slaving at work and arguing with the PC she's suffering in Jamaica on Carnival Cruises the Imagination, it was her reward for graduating from UNCG before Christmas.

At least I backed up our file especially all the pics of the grandbaby. I would have been killed when she got back.

To those who tried to help wiyh my initial problem thank you for your efforts.

At least I have the laptop so's that I can get here.

Sorry to hear about this ...

I think I'd just start clean and put a good foundation of preventive software on it.

Best of luck!

We'd tried that software too and wound up in a mess, but finally were able to restore back to the day before and then remove the program. Not sure what happended, but we back to normal (or as close to normal as we can be!)
