Re: Canuk's Freebie Gloat!

Sweet Wayne.........nothing like free tools. When my mailer arrived the blades were missing. I shot Irwin and email informing them of what happened and they promptly put another set of six blades in the mail for me along with one of their new utility knives. Kudos to Irwin for their great CS.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Re: Canuk's Freebie Gloat!

I am a pro at cutting flesh. I am very cautious with power tools, but I end up knicking myself with knives, on the corner of cast iron tools, etc. If I don't get blood on a project at some time I haven't really worked on it. Reminds me of Roy Underhill, he is awesome to watch, but he ends up cutting himself or something almost every show. His hands are quite rough if you look at them closely.

Re: Canuk's Freebie Gloat!

Ah.... come on guys! My free gloat may be turning into a lesson to avoid a trip to the ER!

Yes. those little blades do cut cleanly and quickly when one is not careful. Sliced through skin and flesh on the end of one digit while cutting some vinyl one time. It happened so fast, I didn't realize it until I saw red! Wife grabbed the piece of flesh, put my finger on ice and straight to urgent care. Doc couldn't stitch it back on. So, he just cauterized and stitched me back up and sent me on my merry way!

Lesson learned! (Do I still get scraped up with every project? Well....of course!)
